Worship
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” – Colossians 3:16
In one way or another we acknowledge that we all have a spiritual component to our existence. This is the dynamic part of our existence that connects us to our sense of purpose and the realization of God’s Hand working constantly in our lives.
Our Spirituality and Faith empower us and lift us up to new perspectives, new direction, and help us live a new life that is centered on something other than self-want and self-indulgence. Our Faith brings us into connection with ourselves, humanity and with God.
What we need to humbly accept is that this connection does not just happen. It is a living and ever evolving relationship that requires attention, direction, guidance and focus. We need worship and prayer as much as we need air and water to function.
Through worship and prayer, we are able to explore, maintain and strengthen our spiritual formation.
Worship is a celebration of the mighty acts of God as we joyfully remember all He has done for us. It is a compassionate response to God’s Presence and His Overflowing Grace and Mercy. When we worship, we allow God to speak to us and we in homage, respond by praising and adoring Him.
Worship is not a spectator sport. It involves “active” celebration of God by the participants. God is the audience, the worship leader is the prompter, and the participants are the actors.
In Worship, we allow God’s Life changing Word to minister to us. It is a time to praise God and experience God’s Presence and fellowship with God and others.
At 8:00 p.m. every Friday, the Singles Ministry meets to celebrate God’s Goodness. The first Friday of the month is a Eucharistic Celebration with the whole BLD community. The following Fridays of the month is Praise and Worship with the Singles Ministry. The service blends dignity with joy and is aimed at the heart and spirit of the worshiper.
We do praise and worship at St. Mary’s Church. Address and directions below. We hope that you check us out!
