A Message From the Teaching Ministry Coordinators:
November 17, 2022
The Liturgical season of Advent is fast approaching and marks the time of spiritual preparation by the faithful before Christmas that begins on November 27, Sunday and ends on December 24, 2022. “Advent” is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming,” which translates to the Greek word parousia.
Advent Season is focused on a joyful waiting and preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ in all ways, from His birth in the past to His Second Coming in the future as the promised Messiah. It is a time of Prayer, Fasting, Alms giving and Repentance.
