ABOUT
The Bukas Loob sa Diyos (Open to the Spirit) is a covenant community and a Private Lay Association of the Faithful in the Archdiocese of Newark. We are a communion of families and a community of persons, called together as one people through a moment of encounter and a process of renewal to a relationship of faith, hope, and love with God.
The ⒷLD Newark Youth Ministry is a young and vibrant ministry, we have various activities such as our yearly weekend programs, the Youth Encounter (YE) or Youth Life in the Spirit Seminar (YLSS), that provides the youth with opportunities to grow in their Catholic faith among their peers.

- To proclaim the Gospel to the youth and enable them to bring the Good News to others.
- To reaffirm the importance that youth are a special treasure and the greatest source of evangelization.
- To encourage the youth to grow and strengthen their personal faith through retreats, ministry leadership, service, community worships, & evangelization.
- To provide trust and use their potential as a light in the world of darkness.
- To help the youth build a strong foundation of Christian values, originating from Jesus’ teachings.
- To create and develop a strong Christian family amongst the youth members.

The (DYC) are one of many exemplary teams that are committed to serving the Youth Ministry,
coordinating the activities and retreats by the Youth, with the goal of developing a dynamic pastoral
ministry by attending to the spiritual and personal needs of its members.
If you would like or need to contact us regarding the Youth Ministry and it's activities,
your fellow DYCes and YCSes (Titos and Titas) will be more than happy to help you!
