An Invitation to a Life in the Spirit Seminar for Youth (YLSS #29)
The Life in the Spirit Seminar gives you a fresh start—a chance to feel closer to God, with a strong desire to know, love, and serve Him. It helps you see life in a new way, opening your heart to the Holy Spirit. This new perspective fills you with peace, love, and joy, helping you focus on the things that last forever.

Open to youth ages 13 to 19 as of March 20, 2026, including those who wish to retake the seminar. Registration is FREE!

The BLD Newark Youth Ministry is a young and vibrant ministry, we have various activities such as our yearly weekend programs, the Youth Encounter (YE) or Youth Life in the Spirit Seminar (YLSS), that provides the youth with opportunities to grow in their Catholic faith among their peers.

The Bukas-Loob sa Diyos (Open to the Spirit) is a covenant community and a Private Lay Association of the Faithful in the Archdiocese of Newark. We are a communion of families and a community of persons, called together as one people through a moment of encounter and a process of renewal to a relationship of faith, hope, and love with God.

Our Goals & Objectives 🙌 🏁
- To proclaim the Gospel to the youth and enable them to bring the Good News to others.
- To reaffirm the importance that youth are a special treasure and the greatest source of evangelization.
- To encourage the youth to grow and strengthen their personal faith through retreats, ministry leadership, service, community worships, & evangelization.
- To provide trust and use their potential as a light in the world of darkness.
- To help the youth build a strong foundation of Christian values, originating from Jesus’ teachings.
- To create and develop a strong Christian family amongst the youth members.
